Mr. George Roughead

George Roughead received his Bachelor of Science degree in Composite Social Studies Education from the University of North Dakota. He has been working in education since 2011 and spent that time in his hometown of Grand Forks. George briefly taught 7th grade and high school but spent the vast majority of his time teaching 8th grade. In addition to classroom instruction, George coached high school football for 15 seasons. He has also coached soccer and wrestling.

At Capstone, Mr. Roughead hopes to support the development of students’ capacities for the ethical and academic. He can’t wait to help guide students to become well-rounded citizens who think independently and deeply about the hardest questions we face.

George moved to Fargo in 2021. He and his wife, Jordan, attend Salem Church in Moorhead where Mr. Roughead is a part of the library ministry and softball team. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing video and board games, and hiking—but none of those things simultaneously.
