Mrs. Kaylie Young

Kaylie comes to Capstone after teaching for 12 years in Enderlin and Casselton. She earned her B.A. in English Education from NDSU and her M.S. in Education with an emphasis in English from Valley City State. She is excited to be able to educate students in a classical model that also shows the centrality of Jesus Christ.

For Kaylie, good teaching is modeled after the greatest teacher, Jesus himself. She believes that through his words, she and her students learn what it is to truly become wise and virtuous. She strives to be a living example of Christ in fulfillment of the Great Commission. Her prayer for her students is that they learn and grow and become smarter than her.

She and her family are members of Kindred United Methodist Church, where she leads the Sunday school program. She and her husband raise three beautiful children and live on a farm in southeast North Dakota.

When Kaylie is not teaching at school or church, she loves to travel, read, and craft. She loves to learn, so her interests often shift to what she is learning about at the moment.
