We are committed to greatness.

As Iron Sharpens Iron

So one man sharpens another. We crave sharpening by those who are better than us or who have a different perspective than us. Teachers who provide a rigorous education to their students desire a rigorous education themselves. Teachers who inspire a love of learning in their students exhibit a love of learning themselves. At Capstone, we constantly look for opportunities to learn and reach new levels of greatness in our content and in our teaching practices. To this end, we have strategic partnerships with three primary organizations, though there are many secondary affiliations that also add value to the academy's faculty and leadership team.

Hillsdale K-12 Education

Capstone is a Hillsdale K-12 Member School. It is an honor to be selected by the college to be a part of this select group of schools nationally. Through our membership, the Hillsdale K-12 team provides ongoing professional development to the Capstone faculty and leadership on the Hillsdale Campus, online, and here in Fargo. The Hillsdale K-12 faculty serve as adjunct members of the Capstone team by providing calls and remote support meetings to sharpen our team in curriculum, instruction, school culture, and leadership. Hillsdale also provides training for Capstone's Board of Trustees.

SCL Member School

Society for Classical Learning

Capstone's membership in the Society for Classical Learning provides its teachers and leadership with national cohorts with which to be mentored and to pursue professional growth and professional development conferences held multiple times per year and focused upon the classical Christian approach to teaching and learning. Paul Fisher, Capstone's Headmaster, serves as an SCL Fellow, learning from and collaborating with a select group of leading heads of school from around the country. SCL also provides Board training to Capstone's Board of Trustees. Capstone is a candidate school for SCL accreditation, a national dual accreditation with Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Association of Classical Christian Schools

The Association of Classical and Christian Schools, of which Capstone is a member, provides classical Christian school professional development and consulting through national and regional conferences. Capstone's families and faculty receive ACCS's publications on classical Christian education and benefit from the good work of member school teachers and leaders nationally through ongoing research in best practices and student outcomes in classical Christian schools. Capstone's faculty and leadership attend ACCS conferences at various locations nationwide.
