Gryphon Gratitude Days
Reflecting on the Year with Gratitude
As another school year draws to a close, we are reminded of the many ways God has faithfully worked through the life of the community.
A teacher who sparked wonder and understanding.
A coach who encouraged perseverance and discipline.
A friendship formed.
A moment of encouragement during a difficult season.
Growth in wisdom, confidence, character, and faith.
Throughout the year, God has used many hands and hearts to shape and strengthen our students and families through the life of Capstone Classical Academy.

What Are Gryphon Gratitude Days?
Gryphon Gratitude Days is a school-wide opportunity for students, parents, grandparents, and friends of Capstone to pause and reflect upon the people, experiences, moments, and blessings that have made an impact during the school year.
From May 19 through May 29, families are invited to freely express gratitude for any meaningful aspect of their Capstone experience, including:
- Teachers and classroom experiences
- Coaches and athletics experiences
- Staff members and support personnel
- Administrative and leadership team members
- Fellow students and friendships
- Academic, spiritual, and personal growth
- Fine arts, extracurricular activities, and community life
- Moments of care, encouragement, and formation
Expressions of gratitude shared during Gryphon Gratitude Days may also include optional gifts to the Academy Fund made in honor of teachers, staff members, mentors, or others who have made a meaningful impact throughout the year.
The Gryphon Gratitude Cards
During Gryphon Gratitude Days, students will receive a Gryphon Gratitude Card in their classrooms to bring home and review with their families. The cards are intended to provide a simple opportunity for students and families to reflect together upon their experiences at Capstone during the past year, share expressions of gratitude and encouragement, and learn more about participating online.
How the Cards May Be Used
Families are welcome to use the cards in whatever way is most meaningful to them. Participation is entirely voluntary. Examples may include:
- Recognizing individuals who have made a lasting impact during the year
- Writing a note of encouragement to a teacher, coach, or staff member
- Reflecting upon a meaningful experience from the school year
- Sharing gratitude for friendship, growth, support, or formation experienced through the Capstone community

Returning Gratitude Cards
Completed cards may be kept at home, returned to school, or supplemented with an online gratitude message or gift below. Students who wish to return completed cards may place them in one of the designated Gryphon Gratitude Card Collection Boxes located near several school entrances and exits throughout campus during Gryphon Gratitude Days. Additional cards and pens will also be available at collection stations and in the front office for those who would like to participate on campus.
Share a Word of Gratitude Online
Families are also warmly invited to submit written expressions of gratitude online through our form here. Messages may be shared with the appropriate teacher, coach, staff member, administrator, student, or member of the Capstone community as encouragement.
Online participation also includes the opportunity to make an optional gift to the Academy Fund in honor of individuals who have helped make this school year meaningful and impactful.
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good." - Psalm 107:1

Make a Gratitude Gift
For families who feel led, Gryphon Gratitude Days also provides an opportunity to make a voluntary gift to the Academy Fund as an expression of gratitude for the many ways Capstone Classical Academy has impacted your family this year.
