Your Admissions Experience

At Capstone, your admissions experience is designed to serve you and your child well. We want you to feel cared for and informed so that you find the right school for your child. Such intentionality calls for a thorough process, but it shouldn’t be a difficult one. Along the way, ask as many questions as you like as many times as you like. We are at your service.

Application

Your application provides us with the email addresses for the educators at your child’s current school who can best provide an academic and behavioral recommendation for your child. We will then provide them with reference forms. In homeschool or other educational settings, you will want to utilize the recommendation forms provided on this page.

Once you submit the application, you or your current school will submit to us copies of all required academic history documents. Please print the records release form or download and email to your child’s school. If you are a homeschool parent, you may provide such documentation yourself but should reference the records release form for guidance.

Once we receive these required documents, we will review the application to determine whether we can likely meet your child's needs. 

Interview

If we think Capstone can serve your child well, we will reach out to schedule a family interview and academic assessment. For students entering 6th grade and up, a one-on-one student interview will be included in the family interview. Based upon your completed application, interview, and academic assessment, we will either offer your child enrollment or will recommend a more suitable alternative to meet your needs. 

Accept

To accept your enrollment invitation, complete the online enrollment forms within 14 days of receiving your invitation.

Enrollment invitations for the current school year are made no more than 10 business days after your interview and student academic assessment are completed and will be communicated to you by phone call and email. 

Enrollment invitations for the upcoming school year will be made after February 28 each year, when class rosters for the upcoming school year open up to new students, and will be communicated in the order that applications were received (see the important dates on this page).

Non-discrimination

Capstone’s admissions process does not discriminate on the basis of  sex, race, color, national origin or ethnic origin, and neither does the academy discriminate on these bases in its provision of equal access to the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students at the school. The Headmaster may designate some activities as gender specific.

Tuition Support Program

Capstone Classical Academy is committed to making a classical and Christian education affordable for as many families as possible through its tuition support program. 

You may apply for tuition support with our partner, FACTS Tuition Management. FACTS conducts a financial needs assessment. If you are a new family, your tuition support application will not be considered until you complete your application for admission.

Tuition Philosophy and Policies

Tuition dollars represent a sacred trust between parents and school leadership, and we believe that we answer to God for how we manage the resources with which He has entrusted us. Tuition is set by the board of directors in order to fulfill the mission of the academy with excellence—to the glory of God and for the blessing of our students. We accomplish this through prayer, generosity, and sacrifice. We are committed to setting tuition at a level that empowers us to keep our promises to you while keeping it affordable for as many families as possible through our tuition support program, the Golden Gryphon Fund. Every January, an annual report that details how well we are accomplishing these goals is provided to all Capstone parents.

At Capstone, our tuition and fees cover all classroom activities and the delivery of the full scope of our school-day academic program. There are no fees for technology, textbooks, workbooks, or other curriculum. Extracurricular activities may, at times, require payment of a nominal fee to offset expenses incurred by the school by offering those after-school activities. These activities will be entirely optional. 

Withdrawal from the Current School Year

Students who withdraw by October 1 will receive a prorated tuition refund for the full academic year. Withdrawals after October 1 but before December 23 will receive a 50% tuition refund for the full academic year. Students withdrawn after December 23 but before February 28 shall receive a 25% tuition refund for the academic year. For students enrolling after October 1 of their initial year of attendance, tuition refunds will be prorated for the first 30 calendar days of enrollment, after which regular tuition policies will apply.

Continuous Enrollment 

At Capstone Classical Academy, we recognize the value in a long-term partnership with you in the education of your children. We are also committed to strategic stewardship of resources and to planning with excellence. As a result, we utilize  continuous enrollment. From the time of admission, your child will be considered enrolled at Capstone through their 12th grade graduation or until enrollment is otherwise ended by you or by the academy by the processes outlined in the parent-student handbook. 

Information Carryover

Each student’s information (i.e. address, phone, email, emergency contacts, and medical information) is continuous from grade to grade in FACTS SIS/Family Portal and can be updated by parents there.

Upcoming School Year Tuition and Fees

Every January, Capstone’s tuition information for the next academic year is published. The enrollment fee is charged to your account on March 15.

Financial Agreements for the Upcoming School Year

Your FACTS financial agreement payment plan will roll over each year. If you would like to change your payment option, contact the Business Office at 701-205-6381 or email tuition@capstoneclassical.com.

Payment Schedule Options

Monthly payment plan: Payments are made once a month for twelve months (June–May) through FACTS tuition management. 

Annual full payment: Payment is due August 1.

Withdrawal from the Upcoming School Year 

To withdraw your child from the upcoming school year with no financial obligation, you must notify the admissions office in writing (admissions@capstoneclassical.com) prior to the withdrawal deadline of February 28. If you withdraw from the upcoming school year after the withdrawal deadline, you will be responsible for the following charges (exceptions may be made for family relocation, changes to family income, and other life events that make attending Capstone difficult or impossible):

• By March 15, the enrollment fee for the upcoming school year for each enrolled child
• March 16-March 31, the enrollment fee plus 10% of the upcoming school year tuition for each enrolled child
• April 1-April 15, the enrollment fee plus 25% of the upcoming school year tuition for each enrolled child
• April 16-April 30, the enrollment fee plus 50% of the upcoming school year tuition for each enrolled child
• May 1-May 15, the enrollment fee plus 75% of the upcoming school year tuition for each enrolled child
• May 16 and thereafter, the enrollment fee plus 100% of the upcoming school year tuition for each enrolled child

In the event of withdrawal for any reason at any time, all accounts must be current before progress reports, transcripts, test results, and other official records are released.
